CTP Queensland Insurance

CTP insurance is mandatory in Queensland, and is included as part of vehicle registration. CTP covers you by providing compensation for other people seriously injured or killed in the event of an accident where you are the at fault driver.

Here’s how it works:

  • Switch to QBE using this form
  • Pay for your 12-month CTP policy (with your 12-month vehicle registration)
  • You’ll receive an email with the details of your gift card within five business days after the policy starts with QBE
  • Choose your eGift Card from a range of brands including supermarkets and retailers

Qualifying for an eGift Card

Register your details using our eGift Card registration form then renew and pay your vehicle’s 12-month registration (which includes your 12-month CTP policy). Offer is available to the following vehicle classes:

  • Class 1: Cars and station wagons
  • Class 6: Trucks, utilities and vans, including panel vans, with a gross vehicle mass of 4.5t or less

Offer is only available to new QBE CTP customers for their first year. It is not available to existing customers.

Yes, provided you meet the eligibility criteria outlined on this page. You’re entitled to one eGift Card for every eligible vehicle you switch to QBE for a 12-month CTP policy^. You’ll need to complete our eGift Card registration form for each vehicle.

You can choose to switch now! You’ll receive an email with the details of your gift card within five business days after the policy starts with QBE.

Activating your eGift Card

Prezzee is our gift card provider. You’ll receive a link to their site to activate your card. They’re one of Australia’s leading gift card providers.

You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to use your eGift Card within five business days of renewing and paying for your vehicle’s 12-month registration.

When you receive your eGift Card, you’ll need to swap it for a retailer gift card of your choice. You can choose from a range of brands including supermarkets and retailers. Full instructions on how to use your eGift Card are available online.

Please contact Prezzee, our eGift Card provider, on 02 8880 0927. Their contact centre is open Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays) 8am-6pm AET.

You must swap your eGift Card for a retailer gift card within 12 months. Once you’ve swapped, you’ll have a minimum of three years to spend your eGift Card.
